Texas Department of Public Safety of Waxahachie issues licenses for Texas residents, whether it be for first-time drivers, renewals, expired licenses, or you are just transferring your license from out of state. In order to obtain a license, you must make an appointment that is easily accessible by going online to the website and scheduling for one. Once you schedule your appointment, you must bring all the required documents with you to the appointment that can be found on the website. Upon entering, you will be asked to fill out any additional paperwork and take a ticket number, and wait for your number to be called by one of the representatives. My only issue is that they make it very difficult and hard for you to obtain a license. There are so many protocols that you have to follow, and I feel it's a lack of trust in today's world. After trying to obtain a TX license for over 5 years and visiting the DPS 4 times and taking all of the online drivers courses, watching the videos, and taking the drivers test 2 times I finally did it and got it. Do I feel that everything I did with my time and money was worth it since I have been driving accident free and ticketless for the last 25 years Was worth it? No, I don't, and I'm really upset about this process because I live in a state where at least 90% of the people on the road break all the rules and absolutely deserve not to have a license but instead I'm the person who had to go through a grueling process of obtaining a license. I'm thankful my license doesn't expire for the next 10 years, and after that, I can easily renew it online for the next time.

Hello I would just like to say that Ms. Tamra Davis is amazing I came in with Ms. Sandra Phillippe she was under the assumption she had an appointment for today and after circles Ms Tamra walked up to assist and found out the appointment was yesterday, but she still managed to get Ms. Phillippe seen today. My experience today at the Waxahachie DMV was wonderful. I was greeted pleasantly with clear instructions. When I was unable to check in at the kisok, Kasandra was quick to help. Realizing it was my mistake of showing up a day early, Kasandra didn't hesitate and made me a new appointment right then. My wait time was maybe 10 minutes before being called to Kina's window. She greeted me and was friendly and helpful. I was in and out in a total of 20 minutes. Hands down my best experience at a DMV.
